WHY WAS BETTER BOX CREATED?

Better Box is an initiative by Cooks Who Feed. Cooks Who Feed ethically produces kitchen textiles with a giveback providing meals to those in need. To date, the company has provided over a million meals.

In 2021, the company started working with home builders in Ontario, creating custom aprons and tea towels for their housewarming gifts. These custom textiles were added to the builder's gift boxes filled with other traditional housewarming gifts. When seeing these gift boxes, the founder of Cooks Who Feed knew that home builders were not taking full advantage of the gifting opportunity.

The founder reached out to other Canadian social impact companies that create products perfect for gifting. Together, these change making companies have been creating curated, impactful gift boxes for builders.
